Itinerary

Day 1 — Addis Ababa → Bale Mountains (Dinsho HQ)

Drive south through Rift Valley to Dinsho. Afternoon hike to spot Menelik’s bushbuck, mountain nyala, and endemic birds. Overnight camping.

Day 2 — Trek Dinsho → Adelay

4–5 hour trek along Web River & Geysay Valley, passing Web waterfall. Wildlife spotting: nyala, reedbuck, colobus monkeys. Overnight camping.

Day 3 — Trek to Wasama

7–8 hour trek through Mararo Valley. Birdwatching and search for Ethiopian wolves & lammergeyers. Overnight camping.

Day 4 — Trek to Lake Gebre Guracha via Mt. Wasama

Ascend Mt. Wasama (4,200m), descend into Worgona Valley, reach Lake Gebre Guracha. Alpine scenery & birdwatching. Overnight camping.

Day 5 — Sanetti Plateau Exploration

Morning hike, then vehicle transfer across Sanetti Plateau. Spot Ethiopian wolves in Afro-alpine meadows. Overnight lodge stay in Goba.

Day 6 — Harenna Forest Discovery

Drive south to Harenna Forest. Trek through escarpments, coffee farms, and wildlife zones. Return to Goba for overnight lodge stay.

Day 7 — Return to Addis Ababa

Drive back via Rift Valley lakes (Ziway, Langano) for birdwatching. Evening farewell dinner with music and cultural performance before airport transfer.
